same thing happened to me, tried to change to Wizard, had the magic shop (at level 3 even)
And all it did was eat my ore.

figured it out, im just stupid as ♥♥♥♥ hahahaha
Seems gold CHANGES the character, ore UNLOCKS

Wizard Unlock is bugged I think. I've unlocked it, almost maxed it. It still tells me to unlock the magic shop
