I'm thinking that maybe the Padded leather should have increased blunt resistance, since most vanilla armors aren't that great against blunt damage compared to sharp.

I've actually added a bit more to it in the next patch. It will be slightly higher then Thrumbo but have quite a bit less slashing protection then thrumbo just to keep the rarity of thrumbo prized.
