Colonists not auto-rearming/collecting ammo
Made a couple of comments about it, but figured a formal post would be good for people to +1 or just link any advise they might have.

I've tried the following, but still running into an issue where colonists are not auto rearming/collecting loadouts, and require me to manually rearm. Sometimes the colonists will grab the gun but no ammo.

- tried CE by itself no other non-essential mods not even CE guns mod
- tried various different weapons and loadouts
- tried dropping all gear and clearing even the base loadouts and starting fresh
- tried manually rearming and seeing if they went for ammo after

None of it worked, and having to manually rearm, particularly as you start to get 10+ colonists is awful. The weird thing is if I only have one gun but multiple people on the loadout, only the one with the gun doesn't grab ammo the rest do without needing to be force rearmed.But then they still don't have a gun so it's useless

did the same testing my self and same result. and whats anoyying there is no log errors as far as i can tell


EDIT-> started going through the code to see if i can fix it and cant even find the rearm code anywhere

Same problem, pawn do not take weapon or ammo, even with loadout configured and weapons + ammo available.

Same thing here, but I'm having them not reload when they do eventually grab ammo after I spam the rearm button.

Same problem. Hit Rearm and they'll go pick up their gun, then wander off without any ammo.

Kinda defeats the purpose of the gun ;)

Same here, my colonists has 2 different loadouts, the only way I can get him to go grab everything from his load out is to spam the button until he grabs everything. Alot of the times if I just press it, the colonists will start walking towards an item he needs to pick up, then give up before he even reaches it.

I've noticed the rearm button only tends to make them do a partial rearm. They'll pick up one or two items then go back to what they were doing before.

Gotta hit it a few times if you've got a loadout that's more than just a gun and one ammo type.

Yep when hitting the rearm button you get slapped with an error about "(Pawn's name) a non-guest is trying to get a loadout). If you hit rearm agai nit will process,

Confirmed issue on my end too. Did alot of diagnostic mod disabling and then I find this thread! :steamsad:

I hope it gets worked out, this is a rough bug to live with.

I've heard the dev build on GitHub has it fixed, but haven't had a chance to test it myself.
