However, you have said "while traveling", so I guess it is another problem. Do you mean traveling within the same world, or when changing worlds / teleporting etc.?
Maybe it helps if you rename (as a backup) or delete the Dino Bars "save game" to reset all values to default and then try again. The file is located at: Steam/steamapps/common/ARK/ShooterGame/Saved/SaveGames/DinoBars.sav
I haven't been able to reliably reproduce the issue, but it feels like the more dinos i encounter, the fast it resets back to 200.
i never typed a value into the field, just dragged the slider to the maximum. so i don't think there is a comma/dot parsing problem.
i'll try deleting the sav file, and if that doesn't work i'll also try removing write access to the file. thanks for the quick help btw.
Do you play with a controller or with keyboard and mouse? I have noticed that when the controller is active, the first input control that gets the focus is actually the distance slider. Maybe the settings dialog does not close properly and is still somehow active in the background. So, when moving around or rotating the camera it could modify the distance value.
However, I have tested this with my PS4 controller and moving the sticks only modified the distance value while the settings dialog was open.
