According to a certain "♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ of mods", "Misc. Robots" mod is by itself rather laggy. (“makes vanilla jobs worse”)
Of cause how badly you'd feel the lag (if any) depends on your exact configuration of mods and hardware.
And then there's the question of how much you want specific mods and how much you can put up with for their sake.
But the point is - if Misc Robots aren't crucial to you and TPS is an issue, consider removing them altogether. Same source claims "project rimfactory - drones" are a good replacement.
