You would need to remove the Cursed D8 as well.

The quick and dirty user-friendly fix for the moment seems to be to download the Glutton mod and add it to your loaded mods. A link to it exists in the Replay the Spire description. Had I to guess, there's a loose end in Whispers of Evil somewhere that doesn't check if you have the Glutton mod before trying to add compatibility for it. It's also possible there are other errors I'm just not seeing based on my specific mod makeup, but this change fixed it for me. Since it's been mentioned here, and the D8 item is in beta anyways, there's a good chance the error will get fixed relatively soon.
