Errors, despite having hl2:E2 and multiplayer
even on multiplayer mode and hl2:e2 enabled i get error texts around the place, why?

still having this issue, but i got the hl2 e2 content and map content off of websites because i didnt wanna buy the game.

Its because you didnt install HL2 lol. You can't access the content without HL2. You shouldn't just buy games to play another game.

i resolved the issue a while ago and reguardless i had hl2, idk why ur just boldly assuming i bought the games not to play them.
