Because of their position and the faction theme youve given them.
along with this, an idea i had brewing was perhaps in similar nature to the Kraka Drak mod they have taken in non Chaos tribes or displaced natives. Maybe like Arabyan Powder Makers/Arabyan Spice market or some displaced Imperial colonists or refugees. In the form of some sorta building chain that can give manufacturing bosues, units, trade resources or the like
Its just a thought but this could be an interesting mirror for the Kraka Drak mod in a sense, rather than isolated dwarves from long ago building on tradition and runes, it is instead isolated dwarves going against tradition with machines and technology
The Thunderguard and it will introduce a new Lore. The Lore of Sulfur.
The Lore of Sulfur would mainly consist of gunpowder like spell.
Like for example Shrapnel Canister would have a cone like effect are damage.
Flair of Courage could be a great leadership buff and a debuff for enemies leadership.
There could be Grimnirs Ignition which could give a range damage buff for the gunpowder units.
I have more ideas but I think you get an idea.
Basically just thinking how each experimental tech branch could give access to some sort of legendary unit.
Additionally an experimental Tomb Kings tree would obviously focus on their necrotects to help ressurect the Dawi Rune Golem/Giant technology of the old ways :)
"It would seem that the knowledge of the Master Rune of Waking is lost to the Runesmiths of today, and the schematics needed to construct one are nowhere to be found. Were someone to rediscover the secrets of the Rune Guardians, he would be richly rewarded. Unfortunately, I fear the first step in such an endeavour would be the recovery of a nearly intact Rune Guardian, surely an impossible (and probably suicidal) task."
