I hope they get added as an option for this so that people can try it out. On the positive note, we can always play by the original rules as well.
I will leave this current version as is, and probably rename it to "Legacy Edition" so we can all still play by the old rules. Because of all the custom content that exists in this old version, I'm dreading trying to combine the old with the new. I intend for the new version to allow for the option of playing in a sandbox mode (non-scripted turns) and adding fan content as well. I hope apply all the things I've learned over the years and streamline the new version to be more efficient. I won't start in earnest until after I receive my new content.
Hi!
Thanks for your response and all the effort you're putting into this! I really appreciate your approach to handling the new content while keeping the existing version as a "Legacy Edition." That sounds like a great way to ensure everyone can still enjoy the game the way they prefer.
I'm looking forward to seeing how the new version develops, and I’m excited about the improvements and the sandbox mode. Best of luck with the setup process—I’ll be eagerly waiting for when everything comes together!
Thanks again for your hard work!
Is there anyway the community here can help you with the implementation?
Maybe put it on GitHub and let others contribute via pull requests for you to review?
Just an idea.
Either way, I hope you're doing well.
Take care!
Hi DracoDruid! I have no idea how to use github. I'm only a self-taught, amateur coder. i'm sure professional programmers would be horrified after going through my scripting code, lol.
I'm mostly waiting until I receive my STA 2.0 box so I can scan cards, etc.
I've played a 3 player game using the new rulebook, and we all enjoyed it, and mostly liked the rules simplifications. I need more exposure before I make changes/update the scripting.
It will probably be a sandbox version with minimal scripting at first.
