I recently dicovered that the tardis makes any object its attached to slowly dematerialize with it. Even if this was un-intentional, i find it to be a really cool feature and think that this property would be very cool as a toolgun. The way it shoud work is that you set the time it takes for any selected object to dematerialize, select a toggle key for the dematerialization and rematerialization, and then click on any solid object. The tool shoud have a de/re-materialization time range of regular tardis de/re-materialzation time, to up to 30 seconds of slow pulsing and fading until completely dissapearing. this tool should not allow object to rematerialize in a different location as i imagine that may be to difficult to create. This idea will probably not become an actual toolgun but i thought this was cool and wanted to share its concept.
