TARDIS (Legacy)
Kilgrave 6. feb. 2014 kl. 16:25
Vortex Power-Off
Basically, the TARDIS would be able to shut down while in the vortex, and would act as if it was powered down while materialized.....you would not be able to land, the lights would go dark, etc. So yeah.....just a reminder for you, Matt!

i think i might know this one actually, under the long flight mode theres vortex flight button, i think it will just extend the dematerialization and re-materialization process and the scanner will see the time vortex in front of it, not sure, but im pretty sure thats it

Quite possibly, because the TARDIS is too big for it, believe me, I've tried -_-

I'm not criticizing your idea at all, really, I even like it.

And again I know some of these features can be non-canon, but from the show it states that if for whatever reason the TARDIS should fly (fling, or otherwise in this case lose power or turn off its engines) out of the vortex, it would be 'lost forever'. (The Lodger)

If you're still interested in my geek gibberish:

The TARDIS flies through the vortex, and even though the Doctor doesn't say this is true, the TARDIS doesn't get help riding the vortex, the vortex itself just exists for the TARDIS but nothing more. What i'm saying is that turning off the TARDIS' engines in the vortex is like turning off a plane's engines while its flying in the sky (in a long story short, it'll crash and burn).

I'm messing with you guys lol, I never uploaded the texture - infact the model itself shouldn't actually be there but I included it in an update by accident.

Nice lol, and also, since turning off the power in the vortex is dangerous as mentioned before, maybe there could be a small chance for materializing inside of itself or getting stuck in the vortex forever, or some other severe problem?

The TARDIS materialized within itself, since the interior was the safest place while inside the time vortex, when it was in the presence of danger. (Minisodes "Time" and "Space")

Nobody really knows what happens if it is stuck in the vortex or 'lost forever', but we can safely assume that the TARDIS would just stop existing/be completely destroyed instantly.

And yes, I can relate almost every single suggestion to something in a Doctor Who episode.

True, but we do have to remember also, that in the minisode, the TARDIS having been inside of itself, caused a time loop, which I think we could agree is bad...but yes, maybe it could be brought to 0 health or something equally as bad. And trust me, as can I :P

Maybe this could be something with the HADS.
If you turn the power off in the vortex, the model will delete itself; killing anyone inside it too.
If you turn the power off in the vortex with the HADS on however , will teleport the TARDIS inside itself and will require you to activate the Wibbly Lever (and turning the power back on of course) to return to the vortex.
