My plans for a laser screwdriver not all ideals I will be able to make at start most probably just remodeled and resounded to laser screwdrive sounds

To repair the tardis 5% at a time
To kill small half life npc
A small laser beam when active will crate fires (right click only)
To disintegrate props after 8-10 seconds can be disable in console with command like lasersd_desintegrate 1/0
resounded
To freeze all npc in time when you press left_mouse+right_mouse+alt on tardis or sky
Left_mouse+Right_mouse will move you inside the linked tardis
To disable weapon ai
To deal small damage to players limited to 10 hp per 10 mins can be disable with lasersd_dealdamage 1/0
To make weeping angles you minions and attack anyone you attack

If you say no ill will not use your code I'll try to make a completely new script or abandon the ideas but sorry I put this in the wrong place

I do mind actually, you can distribute your own sound packs for it but do not re-upload this addon.

well that's not even supported, changing the sounds, so there isn't really any way you can do that

I was hoping that my initial script would work but the sounds would load but depending on the order that the mods are loaded any ideals how to make it always load the sound pack

Btw if I get this to work I would like you to upload this because the tardis addon is all your hard work not mine, all I am trying to do is change the sounds and anyway it will be easyer to find,

I'll try the sound pack tomorrow and fill you in on what's happening and I read somewhere that gmod addon dir and files can't be over writed idk if it's try but if it is I hope that I could use some of you script to make the sound files extract to your dir I think your dir is drmatt/tardis/ I'll check tomorrow and this is my first time scripting with lua in gmod I'm hoping its similar to roadblock fingers crossed.

ok. now about to test it ill leave the results below:
first test. no sounds what so every
second test. (with some files (just lua, run & sounds folders) of the original mod) the original sounds loaded
third test sucssesfull but with a differnt start command so i wont upload it to work shop ill make a exe file but it have all the models and stuff i just removed the lua scripts or i could just make a exe what extrack the original files add the sound pack and recompress the folder into a gma replacinging the old one ill most probaly do this one

ran into a new problem i can apply the sound pack but it converts the tardis addon to a legacy addon meaning they will have to go into their addon menu and click disable for this pack to work
thinking about it its more like a patch... so do i upload it?

Well you could upload your sound pack to somewhere (not workshop) and tell people how to install it, by disabling workshop version, installing legacy version, and then overwriting it with your sound pack? idk

Yes ok but that's the only way it will work but when compressing the sounds into a exe give a undesirable result... Really high pitch sounds my dos going mad, and I can't hear a thing

well with progress back on track i have found a littel bug/error the sounds load but do not play i can force them with ulx but the tardis wont load them any idears.

i know hey have to be .WAV format but do they have to fill any other criteria to play.
if you converted the sounds to wav what converter did you use?
