My Sonic Screwdriver isnt working
I'm playing on some DarkRP Server,When i try to open locked doors with sonic Screwdriver it doesnt do anything when i left click it tells "Door locked,Right click to open" and right click does nothing,It works in No-Colliding props and opening doors and closing them but not locking them from far with Left click,But i cant freeze people either,While staff and other players can,I Tried re-installing the addon and restarting Gmod multiple times and rejoining and Un-Binding all and Re-binding,Please help me!


EDIT: Just grabbed this out of console

VCmod is irrelivant. That's to do with cars. I think it might be to do with permissions to world props or something along that line. DarkRP with sonics sounds a bit OP.... dont you think?

Well,i was able to open doors already if thier Unlocked but owned or Unowned and Unlocked,Not to mention i seen other users use it,I Know its a bit OP,But its for a custom job i got so they pretty much provide the paying users with what they need ^^

Maybe the custom job isn't configured correctly? I'd check with the staff team on that server.

The custom job hasnt been yet,They spwaned in the weapon for me so i check what weapons i would like,they had it spwaned in through tool gun and they spwaned it from tab and dropped it and used FAdmin give weapons menu to give it to me and in all cases it works for them and not for me

But if they are staff, they will have more permissions than a user, so they would be able to use it anyway. They need to set up the prop protection permissions (doors are world props I believe) so you could use that (think it comes under toolgun) on world props.

Yeah,Other players were able to use it players under the rank "User" and players under the rank "Donator" as me,Same rank of the donor not like him a GoldVIP and me a BronzeVIP or vice versa we were the same rank of VIP.

Sonic screwdriver obeys prop protection rules, which is why you can't do that stuff on that server - unless you were an admin or something.

You can edit posts. How that server's prop protection works is beyond me and I cannot fix it my end. If you can't unlock the door then it means you are probably unable to remove the door with your toolgun either.
