Does this mod remove the MOBA aspect of the game?

If you mean the Power Core mode, no. The mod fully supports Power Core still. If you mean the old elite system with pick-3-in-loadout and pre-selected doctrines and such, then yes. That stuff has been entirely redone.

Ah. Are there any mods that get rid of the power core mode?

Just select a different game mode from the victory conditions drop down. Annihilation and Annihilation with Defenses are also supported by this mod, and I don't think there's a mod that would remove the option for Power Core as a whole.
