Remove Xiph
This is one of my most favorite mods. A lot of details in the creatures and I love all their abilities. But the single most annoying thing is the Xiph.

They spawn in huge numbers and are everywhere. I cant swim with my Deinosuchus for 1 minute without being attacked by them.
Abyss ones are always spawning on the beaches and dying.
It's not like they are overpowered but they are so annoying with their bleed effect, that percentage damage will really tick the hp down over time. Besides, cant see anything in that cloud of blood.

I gotta admit they look really good and they are nice to ride, got some with really cool colors. But at this point they are more annoying than worth to collect.

I would like to keep my current Xiphs but prevent any new ones from spawning. Any way thats possible? If it isn't then I would like to remove them completely from my SP.

Thanks ^^

Im Looking for the same thing, genesis is almost impossible with these fers, theyre everywhere and they are super fast

Yeah man it is so annoying. I went back to The Island but thats just a big nightmare with those things. I was fighting an Alpha Tuso and I got attacked by 10 of them out of nowhere. As a comparison only 3 Megalodons attacked me during the battle.

I dont wanna lose my own Xiphs, so I hope it is possible to keep them and just prevent future spawns. I love their design but they should be much much rarer.

They kinda became the new Megalodons of Ark, annoying and everywhere. xD
Honestly I would love a way to change the ini to choose what to have spawn in, because i actually only like the acro and its not a single dino mod anymore.....

Super agree to having an ini file to disable certain dinos. Xiphs spawn waaaay too much to the point that I just want to get rid of them because I switched to Genesis recently and the ocean biome is impossible to do anything in with them around.

Hi, try adding the following lines on the Game.ini, if you're using Ark Server Manager you should close it first before editing the Game.ini

This worked for me, i hope you could fix your problem.

NPCReplacements=(FromClassName="AbyssalXiph_Character_BP_C",ToClassName="")
NPCReplacements=(FromClassName="OceanXiph_Character_BP_C",ToClassName="")
NPCReplacements=(FromClassName="Xiph_Character_BP_C",ToClassName="")

If you want to decrease the spawns of the Xiph without removing them entirely you can use the following:

DinoSpawnWeightMultipliers=(DinoNameTag=Xiph_Character_BP_C,SpawnWeightMultiplier=10.0,OverrideSpawnLimitPercentage=true,SpawnLimitPercentage=0.05)

DinoSpawnWeightMultipliers=(DinoNameTag=AbyssalXiph_Character_BP_C,SpawnWeightMultiplier=10.0,OverrideSpawnLimitPercentage=true,SpawnLimitPercentage=0.05)

DinoSpawnWeightMultipliers=(DinoNameTag=OceanXiph_Character_BP_C,SpawnWeightMultiplier=10.0,OverrideSpawnLimitPercentage=true,SpawnLimitPercentage=0.05)

They go in your Game.ini, these are what i use on my server and they work great for me. you can further moify the spawn weights and spawn limit percentages to your liking.

@Moises001 @Nairbdryb Thank you both for posting your solutions. Ill try to decrease the chance of spawning first, see if that makes Ark look less like fish soup, if that doesnt work ill try the solution to remove them completely. :-)

AGREED

i have similar feelings. i really want a new water critter and the xiph is perfect for that, but they're so common and aggressive that they make water taming (with immersive taming) basically impossible (them or others). if they were more rare, and/or didn't attack other water dinos (so basically behaving like piranna or sharks) they'd be perfect.
