I don't have enough gold...I should have make a gold mine in this area, but after a few turns I trade it with Elam.
My armies (also I mobilized a spear infantry at Babylon) fighting hard with the eternal nemesis enemy Assyria and finally conquered them! HAIL BABYLON!
So seems like this country has no problem.
Next time, I'll test as Israel.
I don't know how to make peace relation when finding a new faction. It seem impossible with the editor.
Also, I installed the Drop Box for share the mod/scenario to non steam users.
I think the next mod/scenario is about medieval Europa or Sengoku Jidai (medieval Japan warring states era). but It's just a thought for now.
There were so many Rome and Greece-like city names in the Babylonia game!
I copy/pasted <modUnitNames> tag and contents within it from BIn/Mods/ancient_rome/mod.ag file to my mod.ag and then, changed the beginning tag.
And I write many city names from ancient orient cities list on the wikipedia article.
Finally I tested as Israel, and recognized that city names were more suitable for the orient.
By the way, my David and buddies invaded Egypt from the Sinai peninsula (reverse exodus), but I forgot the suppluy rule, and Israel armies were doomed near Memphis. lol.
So I editted the scenario.ag file to add mines, but It failed. After a few turns, the added mines disappeared for some unknown reason.
So I have to use the editor again.
The problem is that in using the editor the opening messages didn't apper at the starting game.
I look into it a bit and find the solution.
After having seen the message at the beginning of the game( or the editer mode)
the <report> tag in <PlaterMemento> tag had changed
to
So I changed userNoticeRead="false" to <report> tag in all nations in the scenario.ag before upload it to the steam and the problem solved.
And I edited the map and added a ton of mines.
Also I devided the map into several territories for using the objective, but I don't know how to use them...umm, I'll need asking the question on the forum.
I want to make some historical events such as the king Solomon succeeded to the throne, which are just flavor events and not affect the game. but I could not make them appear correctly.
I changed the unit names of Speearmen Cavalry to Spearmen Chariot and Melee Cavelry to Melee Chariot for historical flavor.
I add following texts to RecourceTexts.resx in the ResourceTexts folder in my mod.
But I can not make a 3D polygon chariot for obvious reason :D so I just changed the names only.
To Do List.
1) make historical (flavor) events.
2) make the objective for all nations.
And then this mod/scenario would be completed, and I'll make another mod/scenario.
In the new version, I must make all generals to female for historical authentic of my mod!
...Just kidding,
Actually I made 3 objectives for Babylonia,
1. expanding Babylonia around area.
2. Make a city in the north area (for a base to expanding Assyria)
3. Hanging Gardens of Babylon! (In the game, it is just building a city wall on the city)
I struggled to making the No.2 due to many bugs, but eventually I figured it out.
In the next, I will make an alliance objective with Elam.
4. making good relation with Elam
5. conquer Assyria.
6. conquer Israel (Babylon captivity event)
Then, Babylonia was done!
Aslo, I made 2 objectives for Israel.
1. expanding Israel around area (just copy/pasted from Babylonia no1).
2. Solomon's Temple objective.
Perhaps, I will publish the next version of the mod before making objectives of all nations, in which it will be quite time consuming.
I rather prefer the previous order's list, so I opened the scenario.ag file and changed the playerParameters to 7 in the <PlayerMemento> tags for Babylonia, Assyria and Lower Egypt.
Then at least the 3 super powers are now displayed in the top (recommend nations to the beginners).
For example, Uruk (near north-west of Ur (x=34, y=22) )
Actually the hardest thing was finding proper city names at BC1000.
And I tested the script of rename of the lower Egypt after finished the end civil war objective.
Already Upper Egypt had been success and seems like Lower Egypt was no problem too.
Also, I've finished the objectives of Urartu.
