Can PAM mine from planet to space ?
Is it possible with PAM to start on a planet and mine 30-50 km away ?

I wouldn't recommend that. But technically it is possible.

Yes but you need Hydrogen Engines on your Miner. I think its better 1 Miner in Space with ion Trusters and 1 Transporter with Hydrogen Engine :)
