There is also the problem of making the doors be able to replace a tent wall. When I've tested how to make a tent before, I could never figure out how to place a tent door on top of a tent wall, so you have to leave a space in the tent wall where you want to put the door.
It was kind of problematic and if I add tents to the mod, it might confuse people since it's so different from normal Rimworld door & wall building.
I wasn't sure if people would want them or not. What do you think?
This mod has a unique system for adding in tents which, apparently, is both in the process of being updated for 19 and frustrating to update between versions due to the mechanics that it employs. Basically it's a prefab tent that auto deploys and is repairable when it's in its packaged state.
I personally feel that tents are an extremely nice part of the wandering experience, but agree that I'm really uncertain what systems are worth it. Especially when you're confronting the issue of Rimworld's constructing/deconstructing materials system.
I'm really not certain if the juice is worth the squeeze with respect to rigging up some kind of unique tent materials or alternative construction system. It's a puzzler.
