The status of anything in development can change. It's not likely it'll ever be a WEAPON, but it could become a secondary, and secondaries have stats.

Just because in theory it could be made into a PDA doesn't make it one. Look at it, it's just a cosmetic that hangs off the Engie's belt. If anything it would work like the Pip-Boy, changing the PDA UI but not affecting the stats.

I think it'd just work better as a Misc.

I believe it's better off as a misc too, but I'm getting tired of people not paying attention to the fact that these people are wanting to put stats on it in hopes that it will be a PDA. However, changing it to a PDA now would be redundant with all the mouth animations that have been programmed into it. At this point, it's meant for misc.

Put briefly, I believe this should be a misc, and that the people chewing out those wanting to make stats for it need to calm the hell down. If they want to be creative, let them.

I Agree With You 100%, But Why Write Like This?

Personally, I think that this should be a PDA. I mean, isn't there only ONE out there right now? (Not including re-skins) It would be cool it Valve added something like this, but most things here on the workshop DON'T EVER GET PUT IN TF2. (Not including the boogaloo)

tf2 has been out for 6 years, if valve was going to make a seccond pda they would have by now, the closest thing you are going to get to a new pda are the re-skins such as the pip-boy, and that's the closest thing that this item will get to a new pda.

Well look at the pip-boy, has any other item changed any weapons like that? It was made to change the pda aesthetically to quell the whining for a new pda. I just think it's very unlikely that a new pda will be coming anytime soon, especially the beep boy.
