- Stone chunk: 1
- Smoothed stone: 1
- Stone block (except for marble): 2
- Marble blocks: 3
Marble blocks had previously had a beauty of 7 in my mod, so that was causing statues to be overly beautiful. Hopefully this will be more balanced.
If you are voting for rough stone and chunks to keep their negative beauty stats, which part of nature to do you think should be considered more beautiful than vanilla?
You can argue that groves and forests have a certain appeal as well, though that's less about individual objects already.
I'd say that you leave the stone and chunks as is, but up the wild plants, tiles with grass (plains can be really lovely to look at) and trees (as long as it doesn't affect the wood?)
- Rebalanced so there is incentive to smooth walls and floors (sorry it's taken so long, but I had to learn how to do it. Please let me know if it's working correctly)
- Now rewritten entirely with XML patching for maximum compatibility with other mods
Well, I think you could probably have uncut stone walls and floor as a 1 beauty, as natural caves are very interesting to look at.
I think you could buff the beauty of cut stone walls to say +2 up to +4 and keep it balanced because:
1) You cant build or replace them so they are a limited resource
and
2) building under mountains has risks of infestation, mood penalties and take a long time to build out
Stone chunks are a bit more difficult. On one hand sure they could be pretty to look at but on the other removing the negative removes some of the challenges they add like keeping colonists happy while mining out a base or the need to keep a base clean and clear.
