I want to play this mod offline with bots.

You go to the practice mode, scroll to the bottom and there is Screaming Steel.

Is there something i need to do in order to activate the mod? I just subscribet to it and it is also shown in the mod menu in game, but it does not work.

No, you don't need to do anything. Do you have Screaming Steel in practice mode?

If you don't have, restart Steam and DoI a few times. That happened to me too, that's why I posted this thread.

In order for Screaming Steel to properly function in Offline mode, you must over-ride the theater to Screaming Steel's theater.

This isnt necessary. All you need to do is to go to the Practice Mode menu, select your map + gamemode and then launch.

Everytime I attempted that action, the theator was always set for Day of Infamy's so it never worked. Until I manually set it.

Theres no coop support yet. See the FAQ for a more detailed answer.
