Okay, that's an upload of several screenshots of a character's statistics. Now, because I'm a bit mental about stuff like this, I went ahead and typed it all out, too. This type of stuff is so we can get a few extra details that that screenshot has left out.

This is not just a 1/100,000,000 fluke, either. It happens more times than placing "somewhere in the middle". MUCH more.
Is there a particular reason for this? Like I said, I don't mod and know nothing about code, but I do have a decent enough grasp of the English language that I could probably understand the reason.
And also like I said, love the mod. It's great. I mean, how nice is it to go to an art show and get paid three times the value of a Legendary Gold Grand Sculpture (or, in my case, pico/nano/attomachinery)? It's just this in particular frustrates the ever livin' out of me.
This is true of all Annual Expos. Your chances should be 20% of winning, 50% of landing in the middle, and 30% of not hitting the broad side of a barn.
I just wanted to point out how obscene that this particular instance is.
One would think that the weight of these events could/should be shifted based on a character's statistics. Skill, augments, health... A flat, constant percentage kinda sucks.
Also, I've never seen a win. Like, ever.
Also quite frankly it makes me a little bit sad to hear that the skill of your attendees has absolutely no bearing on the result of the annual expo. I had actually been making some effort to plan out the best individuals to attend each one, guessing the relevant skills and the like.
Now I guess I'll just send whoever has nothing better to do.
Same happened to me. my "seargant" pawn with 18 in shooting and a military background missed the broad side of the barn. :D just take it as a funny easter egg event.
the RNG in rimworld is retarded, esp in combat. enemies have a much higher chance of hitting vital parts - through armor - than you do. you can have super spacemarine cyborgs that are legendary masters (20) in shootng, fully decked out with gear/archotech bionics loose against bow and flintlock enemies. because they shot an arrow through the powerarmor helmet into the brain.. :/
back2topic: i think the skill should matter..
