Save file location
Is the save data a file on the local computer or is it synced via Steam Cloud? I might want to copy it to another computer at some point, where can I find it?

I know it isn't synced across computers, so it must be a local file.

Yeah, that's what I thought, do you happen to know where that file is located?

I don't sadly.

It's in steamapps\common\GarrysMod\garrysmod\sv.db
The steamapps folder is either in c:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\ or under SteamLibrary wherever you placed that, if you're using custom library locations.

Thank you so much, now I can actually transfer over my progress without copying over the entire game (which was my super hacky solution to not knowing where the save file was)

But one quick question: Is that file a global save file for several addons or is it specific to Jazztronauts? If it's global, don't I run the risk of overwriting existing save data for other addons if I replace the file?

It's global, unfortunately. If you know your way around an SQLite database editor, you can pluck out the Jazztronauts bits and insert those in your other database, but I don't know of any other simple way to merge the two.

Okay, thank you very much, this saves me from having to copy over 15GB whenever I want to transfer the progress lol
