On top of all of that, I think there need to be less historical options to expand, namely into Saudi Arabia. Like, that's not as historical, but it gives easy access to expansion without needing to tangle with stronger opponents like the UK or France right away. Alternatively, or in addition, expanding east-ward is much easier than north or west, so going into places like Iran and Iraq would be a good idea for early game.
Finally, the Ottomans once tried to conquer Austria so that might be a fun add-on conquest. Let's see Poland stop us this time.
But if I do get back into it, I will definitely implement some of these great ideas!
