will you be able to add people as family to the character notes?
also when i make my sons a lord their name changes to the first. and the 2nd. 3rd.
is this a bug or game limitation?
One thing I also liked is the lance recruitment system from 1257AD which also had a limited population pool you could recruit from. It would be cool if we could have the option of this feature, allowing us to recruit a lance of 10 soldiers 2 being nobles(cav), 2 high tier units(of your faction or the current controling faction), 4 normal quality units and 2 poor quality units. And the prosperity of the village defines how well equipped the units are as a % chance. It'd also be nice to have a system that encourages the preservation and return of units to their lands to farm etc. For example having a heavy tax during peace time on unit maintenance and a cheaper tax when at war. Also it would be cool if village prosperity growth and tax was influenced by the number of avalible recruits there (capping at 100). So for example having 50% tax rate if you have no recruitable people there, 100% at 50 pop and 150% tax rate at max pop as well as affecting prosperity growth rate etc.
Castles could be used to recruit highly trained knights which are far more effective than normal levy troops, however they cannot be un-levied(you can dismiss them but they are gone forever or can put in a garrison) and are far more expensive. Towns could be used to recruit mercenaries, and whilst mercenaries don't suffer from increased cost during peace time, they are generally more expensive than normal units (so if the peace time cost for normal units was 125% and during war was 25%, mercs would have a cost around 100% all the time).
I'd also be interesting to see a more commander driven focus for battles, rather than just circling armies and charging in. Having to create divisions of troops and set out a battle plan to win. Warwolf and other similar mods do this but lack the quality to make it truly great.
Anywho this is me just splurging ideas out, GL!
Siege weapons have been implemented in a few mods. in nova aetas the cannons work the best imo (you can even use them yourself) but cannot be used in sieges while in empire 3 the author basicaly used age of machinery mod from mount and blade(not warband) you can have artillery in the field and in some castle sieges for both defenders and attackers, but the siege engines themself are a bit wanky. For what i know age of machinery is now open source for warband and can be found here https://forums.taleworlds.com/index.php?topic=344460.0 so hope Vlad will include it in his mod
