Does your population affect recruitment?
I'm playing as the Teutonic Order and I go and try to recruit some more units but the unit card is grey. I figured it had something to do with my population much like the divide et impera mod for Rome 2. But I can't seem to find the population anywhere! I mean I know my overall population which is like 2,000 people and I have enough money to afford more troops. But how do I find the breakdown of my population? is that even a thing in this game? or am I missing something entirely?

it will show up when hovering over a unit you want to recruit so if you hover over a noble troop it will say manpower available and manpower cost

Does replenishing units also affect your population?

What if you replenish in the territory of an ally? If so, does it take population from that territory or the most nearby own territory?
