Is the Dino Backup system documented somewhere?
I've been looking for information on it without any luck.

Specifically, I was trying to save a Dino I'd been playing on all evening and wanted to come back to. However, when I was trying to save it, it said I couldn't because there was already a saved dino and I'd need to delete that one first.
I couldn't find a way to delete the previous backup without killing the current Dino I'd been working on, and deleting the old one from the "load backup" option on the character creation screen.

Is there a way to delete the old backup without killing your current dino?
Is there any documentation on this feature somewhere?
