Tips for playing as HRE
I have tried 4 or 5 times already and everytime I get overwhelmed when every other faction declares war on me.

Is there any guide to play this campaing?

Any tip would be appreciated.

Because of the religious aversion negative perk.
I saw on another discussion it is because the leader is excommunicated.
And in the story before you start, the emperor is excommunicated.

Can emperor be killed in battle and avoid excommunication? With rebel maybe so no need to declare war (force city to rebel through tax/raid?)

Gather a strong army, march to Rome and depose the filthy pope at the start of the campaign.

Problem with that if your excommunicated faction lead dies after turn 2 for 10 turns by any means while the pretender is active you'll lose the title to Sicily.
