I have an idea for additional gathering food which would need MEGADORI's permission and cooperation. You may already be considering it. His Kitchen Garden mod I think would be a perfect addition. The plants are grown in boxes so I think it would looke quite natural. Also the Herb Garden grows the plants in boxes and is samll but provides a lot of herbs especially if you keep the grow in winter feature.

Originally I had planned on adding a farm replacement, you can still find it in the older screenshots. However I never got it working exactly as planned because farms seem to have a whole set of coding of their own, which doesn’t transfer well onto the water.

That is too bad. I was hoping MEGADORI"s garden could be transfered to water. Herbs come with the Molusk farm so that is fine. Interesting you could do that but not a farm. Hypothesis, could vegies be put into a Veggie farm similiar to a molusk farm?

This is a great idea! The vegetable garden also works on pavement, so there's no reason not to adapt it for the lake village.
The problems with translating the farming process onto stilts may have to do with the fact that it's sizable, but there's probably a way to make a non-sizable vegetable garden (similar to the herb garden)

The garden is also sizable but if it could be made one size about the size of the trade fair maybe. It would certainly be nice to have I think.

Whilst the original idea was to get a normal working farm onto the water, I’ve now settled for a mix between the kitchen garden and the herb garden. I tried recreating the normal farms by having planting, weeding and harvesting phases and an animated growth. If all went well it should be ready and available by now.
