Its a gravestone with an orchid by its side, and when you examine the gravestone it says something along the lines of "Time to say goodbye, Walter my love." I guess its not referring to the new character, but I've found it really sad and I'm curious if it has any real-world implications. If one of the developers lost someone, you have my condolences.
