That's interesting! I did the same with Karak Kadrin, but confederated Grombrindal didn't get his quest normally. I have the feeling that the difference is that your Vlad had already been recruited by the AI, but not my Grombrindal. As Drunk Flamingo explained on the main discussion: if the AI hasn't recruited that legendary lord, he/she gets deleted by the mod and replaced by a new "fake" one. Only this "fake" one has problems with his/her quests; this is not the case for your confederated Vlad.
