Recruited a remote-controlled android and now I can't figure out what to do with it.
So I incapacitated a Tier 3 remote-controlled android, made it a prisoner, and then recruited it. When I did so the faction thatthey were from pulled the plug on the host so I was left with a mindless husk. How exactly do I make this no longer a mindless droid? Instructions aren't entirely clear and I've been messing around with installing various combinations of the blank neural network with the VX1/2/3/0 series chips but I haven't made any progress.

yeah i am trying to do this too, i installed a t3 artificial brain but he still has a blank neural network?

You can install a VX2 in the android and in one of your colonists, connect both to the skynet and duplicate mind of your colonist to have your colonist doubled

Neither of us are trying to make duplicates. We're trying to transfer one mind from one flesh prison to one blank mind in one android body.

To control surrogates you have 3 options:
1. implant a vx1 or higher in a normal colonists, if both are connected to skynet you can tell him to control the surrogate, your colonist will be comatose while doing so, vx3 can control more than one surrogate
2.upload a mind onto skynet and then control him the same way, this way you dont have useless meatsacks lying around.
3. install an artificial brain and then you can either download a mind from skynet or you can "permutate" the mind of a colonist with vx2, this will swap their minds.

In addition to using it as a surrogate, or duplicating a colonist into it, once you have installed an artificial brain, you can use skymind to transfer the consciousness/personality/skills of another (T1/T2) android into that body, upgrading it.

I'm have the same problem, i can't download any skycloud core consciousness to an android whit TX brian (in my case T3 brain). Did you fix it or maybe it's a bug of the new rimworld update mod?
