Medic Was First - Why Pyro?
As the title says, the medic has already a fiddle taunt. Why give pyro one?

I also do not understand why it would be given to the Pyro out of all classes. I attribute the fiddle with thoughtfulness and sensitivity. The pyro doesn't stop to think. He's busy coating the enemy team in fire.

The heavy has been established as a gentle giant in the comics and has an actual PhD. His refined side isn't reflected in game so a fiddling taunt for the heavy would do better to bridge the disconnect between comic and game.

While I respect the time and effort put down into this taunt, I must say that I do not wish to see this in the game. :spycon:

Well, why not give Pyro one? When I think of Pyro what springs to mind is their unpredictability, their burning everything to the ground, and how they absolutely terrify even their own team at times.

Combine that with a fiddle and the first two things that pop into my head are "The Devil Went Down to Georgia" by Primus and how if it's added it'll make demon themed sets better (though I will likely stick to pyroland or purely practical ones for now).

Believe or not but Pyro has been shown to be very intelligent. Smart enough to even run a million dollar engineer business in the comics. The flamethrower Pyro uses was possibly even made by Pyro. In Experation Date Pyro can also be seen patiently listening to what Spy has to say, sitting down reading a magazine, and just holding some fine whine. In Jungle Inferno Pyro can be seen helping the Yeti finding efforts. So Pyro isn't just an insane Pyromaniac. Pyro is quiet intelegent.There is more to their character that meets the eye.

pyro isnt just a crazy person that likes burning things and lives in a dream land of rainbows and unicorns. pyro is just unpredicatable. he could burn you at any second or he could ask you to play a game of chess or something. the fact that pyro is so unpredictable and random is good and it means you can give pyro pretty much any item you want and it would work. even an item that looks like it should be for engineer because in the comics when the mercs got different jobs he run a succsessful engineering buisness.

I thought the problem was that Pyro has too many taunts when Medic has too little

I do believe it is a reference to fiddling while Rome burns as The Great Fire of Rome was happening Nero was playing the fiddle

I mean, such is true

but I thought the problem was pyro has too many taunts
