I'm not aware of how to set up ini settings for the mod. If someone can post a link on how to do that I can try. I'm guessing you want to be able to tweak loot spawns to add items from other mods?

Yes. Was kinda lack luster for the drops the beacons and other stuff gave. Wanted to boost the drops a little more

I'll be tweaking this a bit more soon, as I agree, some of the beacons need a buff. Once I do that I'll see about setting something up so people can make customized versions.

Has there been any progress on the .ini settings or has this mod been kinda left alone?

Unlikely at this time. My mod skills are limited and so are Ark modding tutorials.
