@SSC | KittenPrincess... Well, something for better bread maybe. A genetic cross between regular wheat and rye with perhaps a 10-20% soil increase, 3 sol maturity, and perhaps 70-80 production. That would fill in a gap so as to provide the possibility for some food production daily if you have six automated farms in a small dome. What'dya think?

Yeast allows beer, marmite, bread, and so many other wonderful things. And it is also a token scifi.
Also, yeast leads to fermentation which leads to distilleries. :)
