You shouldn't have to. Are you having any problems with the model, since you are asking?

It isn't visible for me for some reason like it pops up as an error in game.

i've got models and maps from CSS and all of the HL2 games but i can't see Dante at all in my models i've installed the mod but he never appears do you have any ideas on what can be done to make him appear to use?

I have no heard about that error before, as most of it is actually custom materials that come with the mod. I have heard people have problems with it before, try and reinstall the addon. That might help. Else I think some other people who commented had some problems with this and fixed it somehow. I might inquire them about it.
