Crashing post-winter 2023 event
It seems like there's some kind of bug with AC2 currently, as I cannot load into any of the saves I have that were made during the Winter 2023 event. Every time I try to load a save, it eventually crashes on 'The_Ruins' with a fatal error message (linked below). I guess I should note that this is on The Island, which is my main save.

I thoroughly tested out my mod configuration (by removing each mod one by one and then trying to load the save) and it only stops crashing once I remove AC2. I also tried to load previous saves, but because they were made during the event, they crash as well. The final thing I tried is to force the Winter event to be active, but even that doesn't stop the crashes.

If anybody has any ideas what could be done to help, I'd love to hear them!
I'd hate to be forced to play without AC2, I've got so many tames that are dear to me, I don't want to lose them... :winter2019sadyul:

Update: even unsubscribing, deleting AC2 completely from the drive and then resubscribing doesn't fix the issue. It crashes at the same point (The_Ruins)

from what I can see it isnt something on my end as a modder. Might just be good 'ol ASE being ark.

Yeah, it seems like it may just be Ark SE being the broken mess it is usually (sigh).
I can only hope that a future update to AC2 fixes it, or I'll have to somehow try and recover all my tames and then console command them in, which will take weeks.

It looks like a usual corruption crash message. Delete the save file.

The save works when I disable AC2, so I'm not going to nuke all the hundreds of tames I have collected ever since I bought the game in like 2015

Besides, even a fresh save crashes the same way my current one does, I tried everything to fix it, even validating game files and nothing works except for disabling AC2 specifically

Doesn't matter, eventually it will sort itself out without me having to go nuclear on it all (also thanks for the "advice")

(also, seems like I'm not the only one, as there is a comment on the description page of the mod, buried a few pages in that also has crashing after the winter event)

Delete the mod folders of SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\ARK\ShooterGame\Content\Mods\1373744537 and SteamLibrary\steamapps\workshop\content\346110\1373744537. Do this AFTER unsubbing from the mod.
