I was playing as Britain and went down the full economic recovery tree (austerity) and got rid of the effects of the Crash, saved the game and left. But when I came loaded the game again later, every event in the game fired again all at once and I got all the effects of the London Stock Market Crash back, except this time there was no National Focus tree I could turn to, since I had already completed it.
