So, in the Reformist focus tree, both "Purge the Officers" and "Purge the Scientists" focuses say that they can be bypassed. I can wrap my head around how to bypass the Officer Purge, but I can't seem to find out how to remove "Treacherous Scientist" national spirit to bypass the purge.

Am I missing something or can you not continue without purging the scientists?
