Black Crit Glow: Can the Impossible be Changed?
Everybody (and I mean everybody) ought to know this by now, but trying to make a black Crit glow effect simply isn't possible; all it does is make the effect invisible, on account darker color shades make the effect as if it was transparent and barely noticeable. Is there some way to make new "hexed" versions of the Crit and Crit Glow particles so that they're just black? That would be awesome for gmod animators like me (or gmodders in general) to play around with. I could also say the same about the Edge Glow Tool, and even other tool/effect addons that use similar glow effects. It's just that I only know how to hex models/ragdolls and props through their texture materials and renaming their file names with Hex Editor and Crowbar file decompiler programs so that they'll be able to co-exist with the original models instead of replacing them in-game. I'm just unsure if it's possible to do the same for particle effects, especially ones like these, which don't have texture material files to work with.
