How about porting other games to gmod (changed the topic from the other one)
So I had this idea to port other games to gmod like wolf3d (obviously without the game data like gmdoom here).

The code literally can't handle it, and will most likly be never ever worked on... soooooo
I get the idea. Good thing hacked iwads can be used which only change graphics and sounds.

Maybe he could do it for Hexen and Heretic, which those games uses the same Doom engine with WAD resources

Agreed, but I thought even about wolf3d and other ones.

since doom and wolfenstein 3d's engines run on the same principal, you should be able to make an addon dedicated to that game pretty quickly, after already making one for doom...
you know wolfenstein 3d's maps dont use much extra data, like in doom where basically 40-60% of the map is extra data, added for displacements and lighting (which both do not exist in wolfenstein 3D) and also:

the secrets in the maps are just walls that move backwars when you interact with them, if that is hard to script after making a id tech 1 map into source engine entity-based level thing, then I probably should kill myself.

heretic and stuff will be simple though; if this is a very well written addon (I presume it is, since my game never crashes or shows errors with this installed) it sould be easy to reprogram it to load the files from that game instead of DooM
