The use of that word indicates you want me to find an alternate solution. I think. Either way, if you can't afford CS:S, HL2 EP2 and TF2 (which is free of charge) then it would be best to uninstall the game and never look upon it again.
You need as many as you can. get CS:S, HL2 EP2, and TF2 as a BARE MINIMUM. Those three cover most of GMod's content, and that includes all of GMT's content. Counter Strike Source is top priority, followed by HL2 EP2, then the L4D games, then the Portal games. the others are far from mandatory, but could help. TF2 is free, so get that. obviously.
I'm sure there's an addon for that. Steam Workshop is on GMT for a reason.
