Pretty, but needs better balance. 3/5 stars.

2019 is a short and sweet campaign that doesn't have any fatal flaws, and I'd recommend it for a one-off based on its lovely visuals alone, but it feels like it needed more playtesting. Maps 1 and 3 are way too easy, and Map 2 feels like a difficulty spike by comparison.

Specifically, Map 1 seems to spawn an absurd amount of health items, Map 2 hardly spawns any health items and has a tricky crescendo event, and Map 3 has an autopilot finale where sitting near the ammo pile makes it nearly impossible to lose.

On the bright side, the gameplay is smooth and stress-free, so it never feels like you're fighting the map. And as I said, this campaign has some gorgeous vistas, so if you're looking for some Left 4 Dead comfort food, you can't go wrong here!
