Same issue here- all oil quickly drained from all deposits on map once opened a save recently

Here's a thought that could fix the issue, though i do not know if it is possible with the current pipe mod from VE. Maybe allow us to pipe oil from adjacent tiles, as 1 map isn't much fuel, but setting up oil pumping on up to 6 adjacent tiles would allow for a lot more oil production with the tradeoff being it has to be maintained and counts as a colony for all in game purposes.

The piping idea is solely as a way to prevent you from having to spend the steel to shoot pods, or run caravans as this mod creates such a volume of oil both methods aren't very practical.

I have the same bug, would be nice if you could look into it.

I lost the deep oil... Don't know when, don't know why. Deep oil layer went completly empty. Any way to regenerate it?

Hmmm OK so my ground penetrating scanner was off, that's why I couldn't access the deep oil! Sorry!
