Synththread production
Why it is so expensive? One synththread is 3 chemfuel, so you are making it at loss. Moreover, you can use the same amount of chemfuel to make synthamide, which is vastly superior. To make synththread at least somewhat viable its chemfuel cost should be at least halved.

I agree I don't see any reason to make synthread instead of synthamide except the research which is negligible. Synthread should be the material you make most of your clothes from like polyester in real life and synthamide should be a Kevlar equivalent for making resistant clothes.
