Bizarre Sound Bug
Posting here cuz it doesn't happen in default Postal 2 or Paradise Lost.

So, basically the "weapon bob" (which is just a headbob) causes all the weapon, item, and dude sfx to go to the extreme left and right ears respective of the direction i 'bob' which is pretty irritating you might imagine.

If I turn it off, the shotgun cocking, and I imagine all items with sfx that play some time after use, still 'lag' behind whichever direction I walk.

The "Audio Mode" doesn't change anything but I'm using Hardware 3d + EAX if that helps.
Also not using any extra mods just the default P2 install with the AWPF Folder.

i know this post is old but i managed to fix it by downgrading to patch 5023

Necroing to post my findings, because I do have an answer. The downgrade to patch 5023 doesn't work for me so I found an alternative, here's my original post's instructions copied and pasted:

Open up AWP.ini which is generated after you launch the game in the same directory the EXE is.
Go down to ALAudio.ALAudioSubsystem
Change UseDefaultDriver to True
Change Channels= to 64
Audio bug should be fixed now
