The author was found placing backdoors in his mods, particularly the new fireworks addon - and had all his addons banned from workshop as a result. He denies it but no-one's having it. It's a shame really, he makes good mods otherwise.

I had the unfortunate experience of playing with the gmod creator on a server. Very VERY abusive admin, he did have some bad backdoors, being able to crash people, laggy events he can trigger, etc. etc.

You mean GBombs creator? Either way, he doesn't sound very nice.

gbombs has been reuploaded but it is more safe, it has been recoded to remove the backdoor that had access to your steam.

The backdoor was only dangerous for server owners, it allowed certain people including the author to run Lua code on your server which could do anything e.g. ban people, make people admins, crash the server etc

code issues either intentional or not that can allow either the creator or a third party to get access through it, from my memory in this case it allowed the creator to get full admin powers in servers it was implemented into
