Inconsistent behavior on Promote
I am building a new mod configuration and I am in the testing phase. Unfortunately, I encounter inconsistent behavior on promote : When I promote some soldiers gets their promotion normally, but some don’t. They don’t have access to all the perk/class available and the menu for spending points doesn’t appear (where to improve health, aim, etc…). Usually two soldiers are affected with this bug.


- I work only on new game and promote the soldiers after the first mission only from the armory
- I double checked twice that the five mods on the compatibility section are not activated/not installed
- I use AML latest version
- I launched the game with -regenerateinis the reinitialize the iniz.
- I deleted the config directories to reset things

I have a ton of mod (more than 300) and it will take a lot of time to find the culpid by just activating/disactivating pack of them. Any clue will be much appreciated!

Its a strange bug cause by the config system for some people.
Use the mod Disable Any Class Wotc and disable all classes but UniversalSoldier in the ingame mod options.

Thanks Musashi for the quick answer. I missed that part of the faq. So I tried that and 2 things happened :

- I found only two soldier class (universal and infiltrator)
- The game CTD every time at loading the first mission with the mod "disable any class Wotc" active.

But it give me a clue and I investigate with the infiltrator. Finaly I found that the class wass correctly active but not the mod "RPG Overhaul - Infiltrator Specialization". I don't know how I missed that, but I missed that ! ;-)

Every think seems to work fine now. Thanks for your help, it was the clue I needed ! And also thanks for this great mod !

(I "just" need to adatp things for LWOTC ;-) now )

Please look at Disable Any Class mod, it's not an answer anymore because it's dead and doesn't let you disable vanilla classes
