Is it just me or does manually "picking up" items take longer than it used to?
If you tell a pawn to haul a small group of items, they will go over and gather them all up in as much time as it takes to walk over each item (see the .gif in the mod description). However, if you draft a pawn and right-click>pick up [item], they'll go over to it and stand there for about a second while the little yellow "working" bar fills up, and then they'll have the item in their inventory.

I swear it used to be that when you manually ordered pawns to pick up items, they picked them up instantly.

Happened to me too. Super annoying. Looking for solutions right now. I'll post a solution or mod conflicts if I find any.

There is currently an issue with the last update that broke the mod interaction with "while your up", either be patient and wait for an update(which is already in the work on the github page), or temporarily remove the mod "while your up", or this one if you don't have that..

My pawns stopped hauling items, and there is no pop up menu when attempting to haul manually. They will eat meals that landed with them in the center of the map, but won't haul the meals to a stock pile. (or move any other items)

Like I said, the last update for "puah", broke interaction with "while your up" which causes that to happen. A community member posted int he comments for the mod about how to download a temporary update build from the mods github page, or you can just remove the "while your up" mod until the fix is permanently implemented.

Actually I just checked, and it looks like the fix was already pushed through several hours ago :D

I don't have "while you're up" and have the same problem :/
EDIT: All right i see what's the problem. 1.3 added picking up medicine and now i see everytime pawns are picking up and hauling, they use the same timer for that. Is there a patch or smth to disable that and go back to the old instant pick-up?

Funnily enough I *did* find a fix but forgot to write it down and now i'm starting a 1.4 playthrough and having the problem again ;-;
