try adding spawn id's for the furnace and hammer too, if they have id's they CAN be made to spawn naturally

these items have an id, and function the same as a vanilla item, just tell them to spawn on the map you're making

He's saying you can make something spawn as long as you have the ID for it. How is that not clear to you?

He wasn't talking about the metal nodes... The Refinery and Smithing Hammer are items. Ones a tool and one's just a heat source, you could make their spawns if you were willing.
